General eligibility to take admission in the ensuing academic session 2024-2025
- A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent Examination and also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.
- Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Vocational examination conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education and Training shall be eligible to seek admission to the B.A. (General) 1st year Course of Studies taking the subjects under Humanities Division (Bengali, English, Education, History, Political Science) only.
- No candidate shall be allowed to take admission after a lapse of more than 5 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination.
- The students who have registered themselves for Calcutta University Part I examinations i.e. Calcutta University registered students for Part (1+1+1) system are not allowed to take admission for the ensuing session.
- For already Calcutta University registered students, the CU registration year should not be prior to 2018 for B.A.(Hons. and General) and B.Sc. (Hons. and General) and it should not be prior to 2017 for B.Com.(Hons. & General) i.e. the candidate is not registered in Calcutta University Part (1+1+1) examination system.

- CUT-OFF MARKS FOR SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH Relaxation of Cut-off Marks for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidate as per University rules and practices.
- Candidates belonging to the SC or ST community taking up Hons. course of study must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the last examination.
- There is no marks relaxation for OBC and PH candidates.
- The top four subjects in order of marks, secured by a candidate will not include compulsory Environmental Education/Studies. If the subject ‘Environmental Science’ is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the best 4 aggregates.
- All candidates seeking admission in Science Honours subjects must secure pass marks in theory and practical both in all lab based subjects in the last examination (where applicable).
- Candidates who have passed the HS (10 +2) Vocational examination conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education and Training shall be eligible to seek admission to the BA General 1ST Year Course of studies taking the subjects under Humanities Stream only. However the candidates who have passed the aforesaid examination in Business & Commerce shall also be eligible for admission to B.Com General 1ST Year Course of studies.
- No candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying exam. The year of admission shall not be taken into account while calculating 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying exam.

Guideline for Post Graduate Admission
Students selected for admission in M.Sc. Computer Science or Geography course in Sarsuna College through Calcutta University centralized admission process can take provisional admission by following the bellow mentioned steps:
- Visit the college website sarsunacollege.ac.in.
- Click on “Admission”.
- Click on “Sarsuna College Post Graduate Admission 2024-25”
- Click on “Online PG Admission”
- Click on “Click here to Register”. You need to provide your valid 13 digit Form number (2024XXXXXXXXX) of your Calcutta University Application. You will be allowed for registration only if you are in the selected list for Sarsuna College.
- Register with your details. Keep your Username and Password safely with you.
- After successful registration Sign in to Sarsuna College Admission Portal with your Username & Password.
- Fill up your details and submit.
- Upload documents in Attachment.
- Make the Payment.
- After successful payment you need to take a print out of your payment receipt which you need to keep safely for the entire course duration.
- Students must check the college website regularly for updates.

- Fees can be paid online (Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking) or by ICICI Bank Challan.
- For payment through ICICI Bank Challan, the candidate needs to generate the ICICI Bank Challan for the appropriate application(s). The student must take a print of the challan and make payment at any ICICI Branch with in the permissible date and time.
- A Challan is valid for the selected application(s) by the candidate only and can not be photocopied for payment by other candidates.
- Payment through ICICI bank challan will be updated in the college portal after receiving confirmation from the bank about the payment. Generally, this update takes one working day after payment in the bank.
- Payments through ONLINE by Credit/Debit cards or Net Banking is highly encouraged.
- A candidate willing to apply or want to take provisional admission after selection must pay the application fees /admission fees (whichever is applicable) within the permissible dates of the phase of admission in which he/she is eligible. Admission/Application of candidates who make payment after permissible dates will not be considered. Furthermore, admission fees paid after permissible dates of a phase will be forfeited.
- The online application form will be accepted and registered by the College only after the college receives intimation from the bank about the payment made by the candidate.
